The key now is the midterm elections. If we change the Congressional balance we can go on to take back control. Currently, they have a bill that just passed the House and is now going to the Senate that will attempt to require voter ID’s at the polls. That seems benign on the surface, but registers as voter suppression 101. Divorcees, where women have a different last name than their ID emerges. Students who attend school in another state will run into problems as some don’t have driver’s licenses, and the out-of-state DL can be problematic in some instances. Meanwhile, the aforementioned can often run into financial problems where they can’t afford paying for birth certificates, DLs, or passports. The findings indicate that voter fraud is almost nonexistent, but the new laws will most definitely impact potential voters.
Removing refugees, and the aforementioned, are MAGA’s attempts to purge the voter rolls and consolidate their desired power.
