How come I have never heard of her? (photo below with John Lewis, may they both RIP)

I'm impressed by her bio,... she was 11 years old when she crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge on March 7, 1965 a day that would come to be known as Bloody Sunday. She and her sisters were also there two days later on what is known as "Turnaround Tuesday".

Joanne Bland was also the founder of journeys for the Soul tour company. Anyway, thanks for the info, I really had a chance now to know who she was. RIP!
