Sir, I know very well that Russia ceased to be a socialist country following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, and that it transitioned to a capitalist-oriented market economy. But in my argument on Russia I was speaking on the period when Russia was still a "socialist" country in the 60s, 70s-80s, a period where Russia as a socialist country could have protected Lumumba(its new ally) at least from the Belgian predators, but did nothing. Also during the Algerian war Soviet Union did not defend Algeria(its ally) from France in 1962. Go figure!!
As for Cuba, the Soviet/socialist assistance was heavily focused on specific sectors (especially sugar and nickel for export) and was often mismanaged, leading to infrastructural weaknesses. Throughout the 1960s, Soviet and Cuban leadership clashed over economic planning. Further, was the socialist Soviet Union "expansion"(about 26 countries absorbed) that you maybe appreciate so much considered a good thing? If so then stealing Ukraine from Russia today should also be considered a good thing.
I got that USSR was scared of the USA and you can easily tell, and like the West the USSR has been attacking only the weak since world war II, they destroyed Kabul in Afghanistan for a period of 10 years, went to Syria a few years ago doing some bombings there too. However if Russia can face the "NATO" which includes the United States in this ongoing Ukrainian war, I don't understand why the Soviet Union back in the day couldn't face the U.S over Cuba or Grenada?!
No need to reply, when/if you finish reading just move on.

Of course Russia will not intervene, they are not fools. We would wipe them out. Russia is extremely weak, having a GDP of that similar to Florida's or California's.
Theone, you mentioned in one of your many posts on this subject that Russia is a socialist government. Where in the world did you get that impression? It is an authoritarian, fascist oligarchy.
Further, if you are looking for an argument on Russia, you will not get one from me, except on your inaccuracies like their funding of Cuba and hospitals in the Soviet days.
Since the Stalin era, for the most part, I have despised the Soviets.

Man, I don't understand Russia/Soviet Union, PERIOD,...although Grenada was under a Marxist-Leninist, socialist government, during the invasion of Grenada by the U.S the Soviet Union was not present militarily and offered no direct defense, and they deemed the island of low strategic value. Instead, Soviet involvement was limited to diplomatic support for Grenada. I'm sure Maurice Bishop flipped in his grave over Russia's lack of military intervention.
Now what happened when Saddam invaded and attacked Kuwait in 1991? (Kuwait an ally of the U.S)
hahahaha, I don't need to go there, you got the full picture now. Can't trust Russia when it comes to the real deal(protection). Soviet Union did not PROTECT Patrice Lumumba although he was a temporary alliance with the Soviet Union during the 1960 Congo Crisis. Lumumba counted on the Soviet support which caused the West to view him as a threat!!
Russia/Soviet is full of shiit, no where around when you need it. Russia might talk the good talk like they doing now with Trump telling him to leave Cuba alone and to get out of there, but bottom line Russia will not militarily intervene on this Cuban blockade.
