Yeah, anytime you hear of KKK you can't help but imagine some Black victims of hate hanged on trees, except this man (photo below), Mr Lucius Amerson who in 1967 became the first black sheriff in the South since reconstruction,.. he was elected to office in Macon county, Alabama, and started his role in January 1967. Amerson served for 20 years, until 1987, being re-elected "four times" in that county. (This one sounds like Palestinians voting four times for Hamas for a protection reason, except in this case they were Black ppl in America voting 4 times for protection via Lucius Amerson in that Alabama county). G, again,
LOL, I'm not being disruptive I'm just comparing these two situations and rightly so.
But here is the thing they don't say about him though, while serving he "unalived" 17 to 20 top KKK officials/leaders in Macon county, ALabama, throwing their dead bodies in the river, many of his white deputies quit when he took office, and he immediately replaced them by hiring Black Vietnam veterans to serve as his deputies. Several klan members in Macon county, Alabama, were even afraid to wear their white sheets when he was serving as sheriff. Also many klansman fled town. Good lawwd, he returned the KKK violence against them. He truly terrrorised them.
ANyway, Amerson was a sheriff in Alabama that unalived KKK members when other Black folks were having peaceful protests. Strange thing Amerson didn't ran and seek refuge in another country afterwards, he stayed right where he was.!!!
