Yea, I heard some are returning but are bound to re-apply for South African citizenship. The gov't had revoked the citizenship of those who left.

I think they realized that the privilege they enjoyed in South Africa would not be found in the US - over here they're just another white person with a strange & wicked accent; and likely to be taking orders from professional Black folks in whatever field of employment they were in. lol

Btw, there are Afrikaneers who moved to the West Bank and joined Israeli settlers and converted to Judaism - Orthodox Judaism. Birds of a feather!
