Chuck Schumer's time passed a long time ago yet he has an agenda much greater than American & Democratic party politics.

For the same reason he didn't endorse Mamdani, he's not gonna support Platner even though his preferred candidate, Janet Mills, is flopping.

If and when Schumer calls it quits, his political clone, Hakeem Jeffries, is in line to continue the Democratic party establishments bad habits. Without Schumer, Jeffries wouldn't be House Minority leader or leader of the Democratic Caucus.
