I'm surprise I didn't know Schumer lobbied against Obama's Iran deal. He's proclaimed himself a proud Zionist but still this bit of info surprises me. But then:
Here's Senator Chuck Schumer telling us where he's coming from:

"I have many jobs as leader..and one is to fight for aid to Israel - all the aid that Israel needs. I will continue to fight for it.
We deliver more security assistance to Israel, our ally, under my leadership than ever, ever before. We will keep doing that."

Schumer, to my reading, is an Israel Firster! And no matter what, he seems determined with that attitude EVEN THOUGH MOST DEMOCRATS NOW SUPPORT PALESTINE OVER ISRAEL.

And btw, Hakeem Jeffries is also an Israel firster. No doubt why Schumer supported him as minority leader etc.
