Last night on Ken Burn's history of the American Revolution, which is being replayed on PBS, the narrator made a comment that made me think of the mess Trump is now in with Iran. George Washington at one point in the revolutionary war began to realize that he did not need to win, just not lose, he understood that the British had to win decisively to win the war. Looks like Trump is in the same mess the Brits and King George got themselves into fighting us.
