The NAACP is calling on all Black athletes and fans to boycott the athletic programs of public universities in states that are taking steps that the nations oldest civil rights group says are restricting voting rights.
Launched Tuesday, the "Out of Bounds" campaign urges prospective Black athletes, their families, alumni and fans to "withhold athletic and financial support from major public universities in states "that have moved to limit, weaken or erase Black voting representation".
The NAACPs campaign calls out Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and South Carolina as states to boycott....

Well, at least we know that the NAACP is alive and breathing. Cool.
But once again it's about political mobilization, which is okay on some level, but never economic empowerment - build for self.
Economic power will always trump
electoral power.
And why put the burden on college athletes and fans?
Just asking, don't throw spears at me😆
