Sacramento City Councilmember Mai Vang, who is running for Congress in California's 7th district, has repeatedly declined to recite the Pledge of Allegiance at public meetings.
She has also been turning away from the American flag during the ceremony.
When asked about it, she said she uses that time to reflect on America's "injustices."...
