However I stumbled upon another video of W.E.B Dubois below by chance, and I'm glad I did because I never knew that the "Early Battle for Civil Rights" started in Niagara Falls, NY, in 1905. It was ugly, many killed. And this was in the north NOT the south.
LOL, and I've personally been to Niagara Falls in upstate NY in the late 1990s visiting the horse shoe as they call it. I remember spending a lovely day at the borders between Canada and the U.S in Niagara falls, but had no idea of what happened up there historically until now. LOL
ANyway, the video below examines the heated debate and conflict between W.E.B. DuBois and William Monroe Trotter with Booker T. Washington on how to best uplift the race and secure equality for their community.
