I am very familiar with the history of Jewish participation in the African slave trade and the key role wealthy Jews played in financing, the beginnings of the sugar industry, ownership of slave ships, licensing under Christian firms for transportation to the Caribbean islands & South America, owning lots of plantations in islands like Barbados, etc.
Many of us in the islands carry the names of the Jews who owned plantations in the islands. In a place like Surinan they practically run the slave system.
