Btw Les, Fred Williamson was one of my father's(RIP) favorite Black American actors, I was 6-7 years old remembering dad watching these Blaxploitation movies. Since he couldn't see Gnawa ppl, his own ppl featured on the Moroccan movies, he was so glad and proud to see some "strange" English speaking Blacks appearing on the movie screens back in the 70s. I remember seeing a smile on his face when he would watch Shaft movies. LOL!!
Even to this day, you would rarely, very rarely see a Gnawa man acting in a Moroccan movie. Oooopss, somebody's going to call me a genocide supporter!!

Now, how is it that Fred Williamson was able to produce his icon-blasting films in the 70's and we're still pontificating about movies throughout the Disaspora, today? He was also very popular in Italy.
