Les, like this lady in the video, I use to speak up about this blatant skin discrimination in Morocco in a time where there was no internet, no cellphones, no social media, no google, nothing, and I recall being hated by "some" in the neighborhoods of Tangier and Casablanca cities for talking about it "out loud" rather than keeping my thoughts as a silent internal monologue. Racist Arabs expect you to absorb this social attitude as a norm so deeply until it becomes a natural part of your character.
