Same story reminded me of AA Robert Williams in Detroit, Michigan, back in 2020. Dude was arrested by the Detroit Police Department for no reason at all, and it became clear that his arrest was based on an "erroneous" facial recognition identification.

In Sao Paulo, Brazil, Elvis(video below) an Afro-Brazilian was a victim of a false AI identification in July 2026, and apparently like the U.S, these AI problems/false accusations only happen to Black ppl in Brazil.

Actually India, China, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom have introduced similar technologies under vague legal frameworks. But no city has embraced surveillance on the same scale as Sao Paulo, making it the world's biggest "Big Brother".
