Maestro, you know full well that in the moment we're in, International Law & legality are secondary to political power and military might.

Of course invading a sovereign state, arresting & kidnapping its leader, and transporting him out of his country is an illegal act, especially if it's all based on accusations. But who's gonna stop the Trump regime on this? Power makes right!

And now we know for sure this arrest was a sham and that US actions were in the service of taking over Venezuela's oil reserves and not about drug cartels or whatever.

Absolutely, Maduro & his wife are not guilty! So was Father Jean-Bertrand Aristide of Haiti when they invaded Haiti, kidnapped him, transported and dumped him in the Central African Republic. We all knew at the time Aristide was not a drug dealer blah blah blah. But that was the excuse. And the whole thing was a sham! Was America punished for that bit of illegality? NO.
