He, Scott Colom, is a Black establishment-type Democrat who's running for the Senate in deep red/Republican Mississippi..
No one took him seriously because democrats don't win in this area, much less a Black man..
Now low & behold, dude is only 2 point behind the Republican candidate and is moving up..

If Scott Colom wins, he'll become Mississippi's first African American U.S. Senator since Reconstruction.
