It is a joy listening to Cornel West who is running for president in 2024. He is not only a great inspirational leader but also a great teacher. Here, on the video below, starting at 12 minutes and 39 seconds ,West explains true solidarity which goes across racial lines. He shows his teaching ability by cleverly using a jazz and rock band analogy. He explains why he dislikes the term White ally. West speaks of the white member, pianist Bill Evans, who was in the Miles Davis sextet: “Bill wasn’t a White ally,” says West; “HE WAS IN THE BAND!!!!!" West continues to say the same about the Black member of the E Street Band, sax player Clarence Clemmons: “he aint a Black ally, West remarks, HE WAS IN THE BAND!!! He’s in the Mother Hucking band!!!” LOL!!! Please check it out. And for that matter check out youtube for many more of his other videos.
Thanks, Maestro. I watched a few minutes, but this is one of those I watch while working out.
It'll give a solid feel for Cornel's campaign, I can tell.

LOL, believe it or not, Maestro, I have already came across this video of Cornel West about 3 weeks ago, and watched a good part of it. This guy (West) is truly a hero and he's going to piss off a lot of people, especially Kris, hahaha! He definitely got my vote from Brussels,...yes, Cornel, make America GREEN again. LOL

SIGHHH...This is the kind of shit from Cornel West that's got me kinda skeptical about his candidacy.. He gets too kuumbaya in terms of Black interests and Black activism..
What da hell does "in the band" mean except for an all-embracing attitude? We don't need that integrationist shit in a post-Trump America.
WE DO NEED WHITE ALLIES! We've always needed and had white allies throughout the Black experience in the diaspora! There's nothing wrong with admitting white allyship! They may be a tiny fraction of the white community but they can play essential roles! During the Civil Rights struggle, White Allies Mattered!
