Cheering For Georgia Today

All eyes are on the small country of Georgia today as it goes to the polls. Will they oust the authoritarian Georgian Dream Party which has ruled for the last 12 years?? Will the four opposition parties have enough votes to form a ruling coalition? Although it is only a tiny piece of Europe, any blow to the rise of fascism is good news and a move in the right direction.

I can’t imagine how we think the oligarchs of Eastern Europe are going to allow the countries on Russia’s doorsteps to just cuddle up with the West.

If necessary, they will make Georgia another Ukraine.

We certainly wouldn’t allow Texas, nor did we allow Cuba to easily
kowtow to Russia. Cuba has paid a heavy price.
