These are some advanced Reuters research that one can truly trust, they even identified politicians with multiple slaveholding ancestors. In such instances, Reuters asked the board-certified genealogists to examine the lineage that traced to the ancestor who enslaved the most people.
I have a question for you, Maestro, and I don't mean to offend you, I'm just curious, did some of your ancestors in America owned slaves? I know that not all Whites owned slaves in America(especially Eastern-Europeans), however did your ancestors migrated from Europe to America before the civil war or only until early 20th century?

My Father's (Polish) side of the family came to the US in about 1870, theone. I know little about my Great grandfather's politics, but his son who was my grandfather was a violinist and organist at the Catholic church in Winona, Minnesota. In fact he died while playing the organ on Christmas day 1935. Dad said he could never ever enjoy Christmas after that day. He was a liberal. Mom's side, French and Irish, was very poor. Her Father grew up in poverty on the South Side of Chicago with a single mom. He moved to Northern Wisconsin because of employment in the lumber yards and married my Irish Grandmother, who was the daughter of poor Irish immigrants. It was said that my great grandmother, Mariah, was an outspoken feminist. The first time i recall ever seeing a Black person was in her little kitchen. He and a white friend (both hobos) jumped off a freight train that ran close to our backyard. Mariah was well known to the hobos because she fed them something when they stopped by. I can still see that Black guy sitting at the table eating. sorry to digress a bit, it is a rainy windy afternoon, and i am just chillun a little, LOL!!! So, no, i am pretty sure there were no slaves in the hamerski/mosher's life.

Wow, your father's Polish side of the family moved in like 5 years after the civil war, a time when slavery was over but the scars were still "freshly" there.
And for your info about 65 years prior to the civil war in America, there were Polish soldiers in Haiti, and they weren't there to enslave or own slaves, they were sent there by the French "Napoleon" to fight against the rebellion, they were forced into combat by Napoleon but later, guess what, those Polish soldiers joined the Haitian slaves during the Haitian Revolution. Good Lawwwd, LOL, I bet you Kris jumped out of the window back then in Haiti when he saw the Polish siding with Haitians.. No other whites on the globe have done that except the POLES. Indeed!!
So yes, as a Polish guy I see that you don't have to pay any financial reparations to GM or Les. LOL!!
As for me, the same thing, I can't blame you for the 144 years of colonization in Morocco, coz you ain't French., you're lucky!! Except in Poland today "occasionally" a few Poles in Warsaw city act like Kris when they see us. My guess is that they've learned this attitude from their Western European counterparts.---->LOL
