It’s actually disturbing when you think about the reality of top-tier actors like Denzel Washington and producer Oprah Winfrey shying away from the challenge of putting out a film like Ramses the Great, or Tutankhamen.

The public has thoroughly supported them, yet we don’t get the courtesy of a discussion on potential classics. Come on folks.

Will Smith and Jada Smith have tried, I’ll give them that, but the populace, itself, has gone along with the status quo, in many ways, allowing for the West to continue pushing its fake history.

There’s nothing new about “Gladiator II,” but folks will support it anyway.

Les Lester’s “The Awakening of Khufu” would break all kinds of records on the silver screen… .

Yes, TheOne, that was the primary reason they overturned Soul music into Rap. Soul was grounded in constructive messages.

Great guys, Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield.

Les, at the begining even Rap music started off as a constructive message but only for a very short period of time before it "deliberately" took a dramatic turn. I think at that time being(60s-70s) ppl were simply a bit tired of hearing the R&B and Funk and naturally ended up embracing Rap as a new artistic form of vocal delivery and emotive expression. But years later many started "resenting" rap. Indeed, rap sounds like a VIOLENT music nowadays.

In regard to Hip Hop vis-a-vis rap, there has always been a bastardization of all art forms including music. Rock and roll started out rebellious; however, it was coopted by the recording industry to maximize profits. Hip hop suffered the same fate.

Hip hop like rock has plenty of meaningful message recordings. You just have to look for and separate the garbage from the good stuff.
