The way things are going it may be the last one.

Neverthless I tend to agree with Morgan Freeman on the fact that Black history month is much more than "one" month, it's a lifelong commitment to learning (and re-learning) the overlooked contributions of the past and the present.

But, Black history goes way beyond America and way beyond "one" month. Its yeeeeeaaaaars and centuries of history. Black history did not start with the African-American history. But rather the AA history is just part of the Black history.

I'm not very big on Black History Month but given present circumstances, I could tolerate it.
My thing is, Black History should be a family thing and a closed community thing, given how white folks are reluctant to accept the truth of the Black experience. But then, given how messy the structure of the Black family is, there's no choice but to tolerate Black History Month as is.
