Just Missing My "French Creole" Old School Band (La Compagnie Créole)

This band below "Compagnie Créole" from French West Indies, was so much fun to hear back in late 70s and early 80s. It was such a pleasant ambience hearing this band as a teenager back in my school days. Plus, it was easy for us(North Africans) to understand the lyrics because of French language since we had the same colonizer in common. Anyway, yeah, definitely the "nostalgia" at work.

Every relative and every one in my parents family knew that song..
What I need to research is how old is this song and is it a remake?
Mathematically, the time frame is off because I knew that song since I was a kid.
Something is a miss here😳🤔
