LOL, I bet you didn't know that the French "Lacoste polo" shirt you've been wearing is the shirt of a Black man named René Lacoste(photo below), a French tennis player who was known by fans as the Crocodile, for his tenacity on the tennis court.
I never knew this in my entire life until this morning.
Anyway, René Lacoste's mother was Jamaican and his father a very wealthy French business man. René was born and raised in France(1904-1996). Some say his mother story has been deliberately kept secret which is another example of Black history being deleted. René introduced the Lacoste tennis shirt in 1929 and also the first tubular steel tennis racket, before then all tennis rackets were made out of wood. Now his fans calling him Crocodile at that time being doesn't surprise me. They could have easily called him a Monkey. Thus the crocodile symbol/image was knitted on the Lacoste shirt.
