It is painful watching the extent to which Evangelicals go to justify their love of Donald Trump.

To do so, logic must be ignored- up is down, inside is outside, and right is wrong.

Brace yourself when you hear the latest defense of Trump from Albert Mohler, the head of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

According to Mohler, empathy, Christ's strongest virtue and Trump's weakest, is now considered an "artificial virtue' and destructive." Empathy should now be condemned.

One of the greatest sins a Christian can commit is voting for Trump. End of story.

A few days ago I watch Pastor Paula White pray over Trump, reassuring everyone that God sent Trump at this moment to strengthen, bless and restore religious faith into America's public life.
She almost asserted that Trump is Jesus' 2nd coming.

I've said it before, the MAGA movement is both a political & religious one - a Christian nationalists one.
