"My good friend Babette"? WAIT, haven't I heard that name before? Is that the same Babette who caused uproarious confusion on this board a long time ago - had everyone in stitches with something she did on the radio or something? hmm...Anyway
Though i'm familiar with the work & writings of Azikiwe (blackagendareport) and even though the panel was sharing great insights on the Sahel situation (Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso), I could hardly listen to much of it because the audio is so herky-jerky and stops suddenly etc.
The female voice brought up some of my concerns about Ibrahim Traore and the vast international support he's getting not only in the African world, but overall, including from socialists & Marxists. Of course the Western world elites, perse, don't share our enthusiasm but there's concern that he does not misunderstand that support and start taking himself too seriously. We've seen revolutionaries go astray and betray dreams; let's hope Traore remains firm and true to the cause.
I do recall Babette causing some kind of a response here because of something she said, but it escapes me. Maybe theone recalls.
