Hmmm, we don't hear much about Black ppl in Belize(Central America), what happened all of a sudden? (lol, lawwwd,..
In the 2025 Belizean general election, Belize elected its first Black woman, according to Wikipedia. Specifically, The Guardian reports on Errollyn Wallen(photo below), a Belize-born composer who became the first Black woman to be appointed "Master of the King's Music". While this event is not directly about an elected official, it highlights the increasing representation of Black women in Belize. Additionally, the 2025 election saw several independent candidates, including Elvia Vega-Samos, who ran in Corozal Bay.
Hmm, never heard of this "Master of The King's Music", apparently its a post in the Royal Household of the United Kingdom. The holder of the post originally served the monarch of England, directing the court orchestra and composing or commissioning music as required.
The post is broadly comparable to that of poet laureate. It is given to people eminent in the field of classical music; they have almost always been composers.
Re: In Belize ? (lol) "Master Of The King's Music"??
""""Master of the King's Music"? 😆🤣..what da hell does that mean?"""""
That means she plays classical music at the royal household for King Charles who appointed her. She directs the court orchestra. In the photo below, she's with King Charles of the U.K. She's making mad money for sure.
Oh yes, she must be a Garifuna, in fact most Black folks in Honduras, Guatemala and Belize ARE Garifuna ppl. I believe we both knew that decades ago. Sometimes I feel like punching you in the neck, dude. LOL
