Well, its a story of Dublin, Georgia. Dublin?? LOL, everybody knows that the real Dublin is in Ireland, but thats okay.
Anyway, its my first time hearing this true story about these Seven Girls and the role they played in Dublin city school.
So, see, they always talk about the famous Little Rock Nine in Arkansas, which was a group of nine Black students who attempted to attend the all-white high school in 1957 in Little Rock. Thats it!! In fact there were many other Black women around the country doing the same thing but the media didn't give them that much attention like the ones in the Video below from Dublin, GA.

Once again, integration, but do we know what happened to the all-Black school? I understand that the white schools were better funded with updated equipment than black schools, but what did the AA community gain?
Given the state of public schools today and their utter failure to properly educate Black kids, what exactly did we gain?
Wouldn't surprise me if Black kids got better & loving schooling at those segregated schools than at the white ones, given todays standards.
Most of the giants of the Civil Rights movement went to segregated schools before entering mainstream institutions. Just saying.
