Zohran Mamdani: fascinating mayoral race in New York - a true progressive...

Zohran Mamdani is a Democratic Socialist running for Mayor of New York city to replace the corrupt Black-face Eric Adams..
Nobody gave him a chance against former corrupt NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, as he was regarded as being too radical and a critic of Israel's behavior towards Palestinians..
But low & behold, Mamdani is closing the gap and doing so rapidly - the latest poll shows him only about 2 or 3 points behind Cuomo..

The Democratic Party establishment & Israel's supporters are organizing fiercely against him but so far they have not stopped his rise. Time will tell.

BTW, AOC has now endorsed Zohran Mamdani, which matters in New York city.
I'm rooting for Mamdani even though i've kinda given up on Democratic Socialists - they've disappointed me lately.

Mamdani is brilliant, and it is a joy watching him completely destroy Cuomo in the debates. The mainstream news in New York is doing everything to link Mamdani with anti Semitism, but his defense is working well. We Democratic Socialists have a rising star.

Obviously very brilliant and not afraid to take on the powerful but, good lord, they're now THROWING EVERYTHING AT HIM, including the kitchen sink.
Now i'm wondering if he could keep up his momentum, given that he's running in New York with it's powerful democratic party establishment machinery.

If Zohran Mamdani manages to come in a strong 2nd place behind Cuomo, that result alone will shake up New york city politics for a long time. We'll see.

I guess it was time cause you guys have been pretty silent on lots of things, particularly the Israel/Gaza conflict.
Your comrades in UK, Germany, and even in South Africa, have been more vocal... in Spain & Sweden also...

Apparently over the weekend Rev. Al Sharpton answered the call of his masters and came out against Zohran Mamdani.

LOL, no surprise here!
Remember during recent past elections the Democratic party elites came out publicly against progressive candidates. So no surprise that Rev. Sharpton has been dispatched to sabotage Mamdani's candidacy. That is, using Sharpton to sway & depress the Black vote. Smdh
