Class division, racism, colonialism, and greed are the well-known inherent evils of capitalism. However, there are more. One overlooked evil ignored by leftist is the culture it produces. Capitalism destroys the very heart and soul of the human mind, preventing any serious change in our sick society. It is impossible to build a socialist building with capitalist bricklayers. We of the left are too busy trying to change the means of production when we should be concentrating on changing culture.

Good lord, this is education in itself..
Pretty heavy stuff but quite clear in its reading.

From "demagogue-in-chief" to Palestine to Black Lives Matter, they are all referenced..
😆..can't remember the last time anyone referenced Stuart Hall (jamaican cultural theorist but a bit too wishful, sometimes..RIP)

Any time Hannah Arendt is part of the analysis, you've got me. Props!

Wished Mr Giroux had mentioned the Supreme Court in his piece..I don't think I missed it.
