More On Zohran

What can we expect from the socialist administration of Zohran Mamdani in NYC? As an all most life long resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a city that was ruled by socialist mayors throughout many years of the first half of the 20th century, their history tells us that we can expect only good things happening. This one quote from a Republican on their honesty and integrity gives you an idea: "Despite the public projects, they were also known for frugal budgeting and admirable integrity, unlike politicians in nearby Chicago and Illinois. They never were approached by the lobbyists, because the lobbyists knew it was not possible to influence these men."

First, re article: I get it and their success is encouraging, not to mention their integrity & steadfastness, but they didn't have antisemitism being weaponized against their character nor $billionaire Zionists spending $millions to defeat their candidacy - today's pro-Israel $billionaire oligarchs don't play!
Also, "sewer socialists" is funny as hell😆🤣.

Now here's a bit of history regarding Mamdani's win:

You are correct, gm. It's a more uphill fight today for Mandani than it was in the first half of the 20th century for Milwaukee's socialist mayors.
Honestly, i worry about his safety. It is not out of the question that the motherfuckers could go all Fred Hampton on him.

I recall as a kid, our last socialist Mayor, Frank Zeidler, rode the city buses to work. I remember sitting next to him more than once when i was going to the downtown area.

I again sat next to him on a flight to Denver when i was reporting to my last Air Force assignment in 1970.

Then, I attended my first socialist meeting 2 years later in Milwaukee where he welcomed me into the party. He left office when the Democrats took over in 1966.

BTW, sorry for using all most instead of almost in my first posting. LOL!!!! I'm slipping in my old age. Dang!!!

I absolutely believe this and can picture the setting you've painted.
And I absolutely believe that's the kind of thing Zohran Mamdani would do - no doubt!

BTW, his wife, Rama Duwaji(28 yrs), is pretty progressive too. She's an artist whose artwork is primarily black & white and political, including stuff on our gov't & the Palestinian struggle etc etc.
From my reading they make a strong couple. He'll need her strength.

BTW, Zeidler, owned a home in a working-class neighborhood here in Milwaukee that is now almost 100 percent Black. When Black folks were moving into this predominantly German-white neighborhood, the many residents, many liberals, vamoosed. When the dust settled from their exit, ole Frank was still there. He lived there till the end in 2006 when he died. He was 93.
