Too bad his "good trouble" heydays won't mean much today for the oppressed since he chose to be a staunch supporter of Israel. How can one feel for the oppressed including the Palestinians yet support John Lewis? Lewis "strongly disagreed" with the movement for boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel and co-sponsored a resolution condemning the pro-Palestinian group. I mean in this case Lewis is no different than Trump. LOL!
However may Lewis continue to RIP.

Yes, in the case against Zionism he is no better than Trump. But does that mean you take your ball and go home, theone. This is about building a mass movement against fascism. You work with what you have. I even held my nose and voted for Harris in the last election.

I agree with you, you have to fight back with what you have, by any means necessary. To vote for Harris is in itself a fight against Trump and his fascism. Yes, one can use "the lesser of two evils" method to minimize harm when faced with limited, negative choices.

Les, I have been holding my nose while casting my vote since 1968. At that time, we were not only aiding the Israeli's effort to steal the Palestinian's homeland but also helping the fascist government of Vietnam by bombing the Vietnamese back to the stone age. I was a firsthand witness to the B52 machines that killed hundreds of thousands of them. I recall talking to many of the young pilots immediately before they boarded the aircraft to fly over North Vietnam. They would have a case of beer and their golf clubs because after the bombing, they'd fly back and stop off in Okinawa to play a round of golf. And also, the bomb loaders would show their approval of the bombings by writing F U Gooks in red paint on the bombs. Harris is part of a long line of puppets that carry out the dirty work for our ruling class. MLK said it well back in the day:
