Very interesting guy and quite ambitious and successful, but with a controversial family history..
He was for full integration which ironically kinda ended his newspaper empire..
He was quite opposed to Black Nationalism and was a severe critic of Marcus Garvey - Garvey even sued Abbott.
And so it goes!

LOL.. I became aware of Les Lester's Chronicle when doing a bit of research on the Chicago Defender.
