Unbelievable what Morocco had done in this World cup under 20. Morocco capped off a historic run in Chile on Sunday night(yesterday), beating Argentina 2-0 to take home the trophy at the Under-20 World Cup.
Morocco reached the final by beating South Korea, the United States, Brazil and France in the knockout rounds before downing Argentina to cap an impressive run. It became the first African nation to win the U20 title since Ghana in 2009. Niiiice!!

I watched the game and was gonna post about it but got distracted etc.
Here's the thing, for some reason Moroccan soccer culture has changed and they've certainly done something right, at least the soccer authorities in the country.
This Moroccan under-17 team WAS WAY ABOVE THE LEVEL OF PLAYING OF THE OTHER SOCCER GIANTS IN SOUTH AMERICA, EVEN ARGENTINA!
You could tell that Argentina went into shock over how skillful the young Moroccans played - tremendous dribbling skills too. And they beat the best teams in the tournament to get to the finals, which was awesome. Zabiri was unbelievable!
...many Gnawas on the team.. and many Abeeds too...OH LAWWD, now i'm in trouble!
And don't forget, the Moroccan team was one of the first to qualify for next year's World Cup, so something is working for Morocco in international soccer. Props!

And don't forget the brilliant and skilful Moroccan team at the last world cup of 2022. Moroccans beat Belgium(2-0), beat Spain(3-0), beat Portugal(1-0), beat Canada(2-1), lost only against France(0-2).
That was the best Moroccan team ever to have stunned everybody, including Moroccans themselves in 2022. I was stunned!
