Very underappreciated for her awesome participation in the Civil Rights revolution!
Very tight with Dr King, more than most!
If we as a people took our history very seriously, Joan Baez would be a legit heroine - she sacrificed a lot on our behalf!

Hmm, I wonder what she thinks of today's so-called Black leaders? I suspect she's embarrassed by them, and I'd agree with her.
