Indeed Vijay prashad(photo below) after reading a bit about him is to me like an Indian Che Guevara.

As a matter of fact he's ideologically a marxist, he's well known for his criticisms of capitalism, neocolonialism, American exceptionalism, and Western imperialism, while expressing support for communism and the global south.

I appreciate the guy, but too bad his knowledge, his books, his activism and powerful thinking did not make an end to the "insane" caste system in India, his country. At least MLK's activism and policies made an end to Jim Crow in his country.

LOL, Now I'm waiting for the White Fred Hampton, a political organizer from Milwaukee and activist to make an end to police brutality in the entire state of Wisconsin. LOL!!!

btw, for the record, there have been lots of Marxist & Socialist & revolutionary Indians in the Indo-Caribbean diaspora. And some were members of the region's Black Panther Party. Lots of solidarity on that score!

Its not just in the Caribbeans in places like Guyana etc, but Sir, have you heard of the "Dalit Panthers" of India? (Photo below in 1972)

Educated youth from the slums of Mumbai, India started the Dalit Panther Movement (DPM) in June 1972, inspired by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and the U.S. Black Panthers. Dalits (“downtrodden”) are the lowest “untouchable” caste in Hinduism. Hinduism views Dalits as sinners in their prior lives who can only redeem themselves by being good servants of the high castes. Man, F. the Brahmans for ever, and if i see one right here in Belgium I will not hesitate right in front of him/her to "pee" on their "Vedas" which are the most ancient religious scriptures of India. The Brahmans are worse than the KKK in their system of ideas and ideals. You have no idea dude!!

As far as I'm concerned the Black East-Indians in India were awoke way before any Black Arabs. We're talking about 1972. Only recently, very recently(in 2011 Arab Spring in Tunisia) that we've witnessed the "awakening" of the Black Tunisians in North Africa.
