I blame Bob Marley and Marcus Garvey for hidding this secret. LOL, Bob even told us that Haile Selassie was a prophet. But real prophets don't hate.
Anyway, evidence suggests that(photo below) Emperor Haile Selassie's relationship with Islam and the Muslim community in Ethiopia was complex, often characterized by "marginalization", structural "discrimination", and, in some instances, active "repression", while he was a staunch defender of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church as the state religion, his actions were largely driven by a desire for a centralized, unified Christian state.
I truly never ever knew this chapter about Haile Selassie until yesterday,..he was indeed an extremist Christian,..hmmm, he didn't like Abdul's way of thinking(Islam),...So his rule involved significant oppression and discrimination against Ethiopian Muslims, who were treated as second-class citizens, facing restrictions on land, education, and political participation, culminating in major protests by Muslims demanding equal rights shortly before his overthrow in 1974.
