We've lost one of the most insightful intellectuals EVAR!

Scholar Michael Parenti is no longer among us..
He's gone to join other revolutionary/socialist/Marxist/democratic intellectuals in heaven..
He was 92 yrs old.

Parenting wrote a book on Julius Caesar which completely changed my mind & outlook on who Julius Caesar was: "The Assassination of Julius Caesar: A People's History of Ancient Rome."

I count 4 of Parenti's books on my bookshelf. He was a giant and will be missed. As for Pretti, an ICU nurse with the VA, may he, too, RIP. Folks, it's a whole new ball game out there now. They are gunning us down on the streets.

She was 88 years old.

She was a feminists & Afrocentrist and always kept a fine balance between the two..
She was an awesome intellectual who never lost track of her roots and the AfricanAmerican community..
