Oh sighhhhhhh....🙄😐
espn-- The NAACP is calling on all Black athletes and fans to boycott the athletic programs of public universities in states that are taking steps that the nations oldest civil rights group says are restricting voting rights. Launched Tuesday, the "Out of Bounds" campaign urges prospective Black athletes, their families, alumni and fans to "withhold athletic and financial support from major public universities in states "that have moved to limit, weaken or erase Black voting representation". The NAACPs campaign calls out Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and South Carolina as states to boycott.... [5.19]
Well, at least we know that the NAACP is alive and breathing. Cool. But once again it's about political mobilization, which is okay on some level, but never economic empowerment - build for self. Economic power will always trump electoral power.
And why put the burden on college athletes and fans? Just asking, don't throw spears at me😆

What about Kentucky?? That state should be the first one to call out. lol, back in the day when I was travelling down to South Carolina with my ex-girl(her grandma lives there), I've met this handicapped brotha on a wheelchair during the trip, he was from West Paducah, Kentucky, and while talking he said to me that Kentucky is worse than Mississippi in terms of segregation and racial hatred, I never forgot it since.
Mr G, you made a good point about the Economic power, so true. You know what? U.S is going backwards, totally moving in a reverse direction.
You know the song "going back to my roots" by Odyssey(1981). I think Trump should come out with a new song titled "going back to the 50s".
Here is how Trump is going to sing it below, LOL
"Zippin' up my boots Goin' back to the 50s, yeah To the place of my thoughts back down to earth"
hahahaha!!
