Ha-ha-ha-ha, after looking at the picture of the vets, I can clearly see why "some" Latinos and Arabs in America wanted so badly to be classified as Whites in the 60s and turn their backs on African-Americans. LOL, backstabbers!!
Yet AAs to this day still call Latinos and Arab Americans "our brown brothers and sisters". Indeed big props to AAs, "true people of God".

The bill, however, even though federal, was administered by states, where Jim Crow laws and practices severely limited equal access to benefits.
