Just read that. She was an extremely talented musician and song writer. Nine to Five was a work of art. I recall her back in her first years as a country star. That's when my brother followed C@W. Way back in the late 50's.

I never knew Dolly wrote Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You," awesome connection with Whitney.

One article says she made so much off the royalties that she built a strip mall in a Black community that needed economic development.

May she RIP, she was truly a sweetheart, and flagrantly pro-black in her social&political views.

Wow, I too never knew she wrote "I will always love you" for Whitney, interesting. And I also never seen Dolly with Patti Labelle play "shortnin bread" on their acrylic nails back in 1987. (See video below)

theone, Parton did not write "I will always love you" for Whitney. Dolly Parton wrote "I Will Always Love You" in 1973 as a farewell message to her mentor and business partner, Porter Wagoner.

There's a movement to have the Tennessee International Airport renamed 'THE DOLLY PARTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT'..
And those signing up in support of that move is growing rapidly!
