The Everly Brothers were huge, and I mean huuuuuuuuge, in the islands..
Their music was a constant thing on our Transistor radio in the living room..
Lots of the CYO kids would try to harmonize like they did..
As I grew older I was able to buy a double album/vinyl record of their greatest hits for my mom..

I am pretty sure I'm able to name their hits off the tip of my tongue. No doubt.

I'm so used to seeing images of Joplin's vocal personality that I had to google about her guitar side..
She did indeed play the guitar.

And wait, this must be from a rare live recording session in which she is actually doing the strumming on the guitar. How fucccing cool!
RIP JANICE JOPLIN. AMEN

Someone needs to make a real good movie about Joplin's life, like they did recently about Elvis Presley.
