Thanks for the input, gm. I knew about Neil Young'association with James from an interview I heard on NPR with James. James was bouncing around Toronto, i believe he was AWOL from the US Navy. The two met there and became roommates. So, I dug around for some music they may have collaborated on. Sure enough, I found some. I could not imagine 2 musicians, who lived together, at some point not picking up their instruments and playing together.

Huhhhhhhh..
Wat da fork?
The Mynah Birds with Rick James & Neil Young?
And it's true - I checked it out..
How da hell did this happen? Lol
I'm a big fan of Neil Young, not so much of Rick James though a couple of his hits were legit funk..
How da hell did you get this or even know of it?
This is some real esoteric shit cuz they never really have a hit single, from my reading.
Such an interesting find & great story.
And of course Neil Young, what can I say? Big fan! And reains true to the cause!
Ohio remains a classic..
One of my all time fav of his is 'Harvest Moon', for many personal reasons, especially after messing up and wanting to charm yourself back into someone's trust. It worked though, even if it didn't really last😆
I still think his 'Rockin in the Free World' is a classic Rock jam with a message, particularly when he quotes "Keep Hope Alive". Lawwd
