Just keeping everyone in the loop about this yrs champs and charity challenge. Last Saturday we had our 1st cnc committee meeting. At this meeting position were given to the committee members.

As you can see there are 10 committee members because there is a lot of work that goes into this tournament. So far I've reached out and locked up Munroe printing to do our raffle tickets and brackets. They are also going to do our sponsor banners this yr. Unlike in yrs past for businesses to be an official sponsor the cost will go from $250 to $100. This will include your name on the shirts, raffle tickets, a banner to hang along the fence and of course any coverage done by the daily times your businesses name will be included in articles. Andy ruhf is drafting up official commitment letters that businesses will receive to lock up there sponsorship to this great event.
The permit form has been turned in to the Boro manager of Marcus hook with the date of the tournament being Aug 16th thru the 21st. We are waiting to hear back from Boro manager Andrew Weldon for confirmation.
As of now we have 5 prizes for this yrs raffle so far . Prizes include
Ultimate fan package for Sixers game.
Includes early entrance for shoot around before game. 2 club box seats center court. All you can eat and drink from an hour before the game to a half hour after.
Foursome at Penn oaks country club with free brunch included
Flyers luxury box tickets (2)
Phillies package (2)
And eagles tickets (2) to a regular season game. All games will be picked once the schedule comes out. Phillies and eagles tickets will be on the raffle tickets.

This yrs tournament cost will be $225. It will also be for the 1st time ever a 3 game guarantee tournament. The winner of this yrs tournament will receive the tournament champion jackets and also a paid birth to sna nationals in Virginia beach in Sept a $300 value.

The committee and myself are hard at work to make this tournament what it once was. With that being said we are opening this tournament up to leagues that are not from Delaware county. Softball in Delco isn't as big as it once was. That's affected the size of this tournament over the past couple yrs. So to get the number of teams up we are now accepting teams from West Chester, Norristown, Kennett sq and delcastle. All teams still must be in a rostered league and we must have access to there rosters. But the committee and myself think this is what needs to be done to get this tournament back on track. The daily times will do what they can in coverage of tournament but it's short staffed and utterly impossible for them to do as much as in the past.
We are looking forward to this yrs tournament and the competition being the best it's been in a long time. We will start taking teams July 1st.
