...He took the blame and she got out good. Then he said that women tried repeatedly to rush him into marriage. One started talking marriage on the first date. He wound up not marrying again. He is now in his mid-70's. He says that he is not trusting enough to marry again after some of his bad dating experiences. He and his ex are still friends.

Another friend, a working middle class guy, got on one of those dating sites and had a similar experience. Most of the women just wanted to find out how much money he had or made. One even refused to go out unless she could come and see his home first. He wound up marrying several years later to a girl he dated for over a year.

Lastly, one lonely engineer I know was targeted by a younger girl that was hired for a clerical position at his job. She managed to land him knowing that he had a lot of savings and property. She used his money to pay off a large amount in student loans, bought jewelry and a nice car, and finished her degree at his expense. Then she got a better job, cheated on him with a younger man at work who was a physician's assistant and dumped the engineer. She even got a settlement in the divorce in spite of everything she had already taken from him.
