Over the years I have discovered there are many things to do with our time, including spending time in vigorous discussion with other human beings on an opinion board. But as my time on this earth gets closer to ending, I have concluded that no sane human being, on their death bed has ever uttered to their loved ones that they wished they had spent more time engaged in drama and conflict on a message board. Unfortunately, some people live for it. Some reside permanently at the corner of Drama Queen Drive and Mental Illness Boulevard. That’s fine. We all get to choose what we do with our time.

I check in here once in a while and wondered what happened to all the progressive leaning posters. I always enjoyed engaging with them, but almost always the discussion quickly deteriorated as logic and reasoning was quickly replaced with logical fallacies including ad hominem attacks. I am a staunch defender of free speech and wish there were more civil progressive posters here.

Anyway, thanks for the explanation Mondo and for keeping this board open. Your time and effort is appreciated. It is almost time for me to drift away as my schedule is starting to fill up with grandkids ball games and a couple of trips abroad with my wife. Just wanted to let you know that your generosity is appreciated.
