We had to sell ours before they deteriorated to the point they were worthless. But now there may be hope. I'll have to walk the woods this summer and see if I can find some resistant trees, if there are any.

But why not use this method on chickens. Instead of killing whole flocks that have the bird flu, wait and see if any survive, then save their eggs and hatch them and see it the resistance carries on. Chickens reproduce faster than ash trees. We ought to be able to get resistant flocks sooner that resistant ash forests.
