OPINION:
President Trump is cleaning up the mess former President Joe Biden left behind in the henhouse and in outer space. You can tell it’s having an effect because Democrats have had to change the subject.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports wholesale prices recently dropped 39%, which means eggs will soon sell for less than they did before the 47th president’s return to Washington. His staff realized a curious fact about those prices. In the weeks before the inauguration, Mr. Biden’s minions murdered 8 million healthy chickens in the name of bird flu prevention.
This act of sabotage constricted the egg supply and sent prices skyward, just in time for the incoming administration to take the blame. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins quickly implemented a plan to correct the supply imbalance that included “deregulating all the crazy Biden rules” and opening temporary import opportunities.
She explained on NewsNation that egg inflation involved multiple contributing factors. “It’s also the high cost of inputs, the unbelievable amount of regulation, the shutting down of our export markets — we have a $49 billion deficit in our ag products since Joe Biden took office. Do you know how much of a deficit we had under President Trump when we left? Zero.”
The prior administration’s misguided policies hurt struggling families on every trip to the supermarket, but they also created a talking point to use against Mr. Trump. A similar disregard for suffering was evident in the case of NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams.
Last June, they were sent on what was supposed to be an 8-day mission to the International Space Station. When their Boeing Starliner malfunctioned, they spent 9 months waiting for a ride back. Early on, Elon Musk had offered to send a SpaceX rocket on a rescue mission, but Mr. Biden vetoed the idea.
“They were left up there for political reasons, which is not good,” Mr. Musk said in an interview with Sean Hannity.
While fielding questions from space, Mr. Wilmore described Mr. Musk’s offer. “I can only say that Mr. Musk, what he says is absolutely factual.” He didn’t have the details on what such a flight would have looked like.
On the day free speech was restored on X, the left’s centralized messaging authority determined that all liberals in good standing must hate Mr. Musk. Consequently, NASA and the Biden administration couldn’t give the founder of SpaceX and owner of Tesla a win. The astronauts were merely the collateral damage of their spite. The astronauts splashed down safely on Tuesday because Donald Trump won in November and made their return a priority.
The same election result escalated the left’s campaign of hatred into one of violent destruction. A website was set up exposing the addresses and phone numbers of Tesla automobile owners to encourage liberals to seek out and harass them, even though the majority of these electric vehicle drivers are left-of-center Democratic voters.
They, too, have become collateral damage in the progressive desire to drive down Tesla’s share price to punish Mr. Musk.
Vandalism and sabotage have always been the left’s way. Today, it’s leftists throwing Molotov cocktails at highly combustible Tesla sedans. In 1971 and 1983, they were setting off bombs in the U.S. Capitol. During the “summer of love” it was the “mostly peaceful” Black Lives Matter riots that burned down homes and looted businesses at a cost of more than $1 billion.
Democratic leaders need to call off these attacks before more people are hurt.
