Our artist granddaughter was honored by her school with the purchase of one of her works for a hefty price to be part of the school’s permanent art collection. She was offered two nice jobs already, so we’re waiting to see what she will. actually do.
Our grandson has just completed his second year in seminary on a full scholarship. He loves his studies and does things like translating books of the Old Testament back into Hebrew as a way of learning the language. ( Yes, he could cheat on that, but it is not in his character to do so. He wants to learn.)
So, you can see what a pleasure it is ( and I’m sure you know it, too) to see that they have worked hard, worked well, and have benefitted from it. Their parents worked hard, too, with all the effort it requires for good parenting. There’s no guarantee that the results will be good, so when they are, gratitude is the overwhelming emotion.
