....just like some relatives of ours who argue that if there were no billionaires then the rest of us could have more. They honestly think that if Bezos, Musk, et al made less money then there would be more money left and people would pay them more for their unskilled labor.

If they have to work hard and budget then that is a sign to them that somehow they have been cheated.

We got a plea today from a relative who twenty years ago was probably a millionaire. She blew it all and now she thinks we should help her out so that she can live happily on her social security. She took time in her note to blame Trump and the Republican Party in addition to the billionaires which is funny because the majority of the billionaires she mentioned support Democrats.

She has a daughter who has the same attitude. She complains that she had to move to Austin to make enough money to live on. Geez, we are so sorry. We thought the jobs were supposed to come to you.

Anyway, they all have one thing in common. They have decided that they are not rich because of some horrible fault in the system and they vote for clowns like the guy in New York because he promises to make everything "fair".
